L. Jimmy McCormack Hurtado is a seasoned accountant with over 30 years of professional experience. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Panama National University and is a certified small business consultant from I.N.C.A.E., Costa Rica.
In his illustrious career, Jimmy served as the NYC Commissioner of Latin Media and Entertainment under Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s administration for a tenure of six years. His passion for community and business development led him to found the Brooklyn Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where he took on the role of its inaugural president.
Since 1996, Jimmy has successfully run his own accounting practice, specializing in tax preparation for individuals, corporations, and non-profit entities. His expertise is widely recognized in the industry, making him an active member of the National Society of Accountants. In this capacity, he lends his skills to assist various local organizations in the realms of accounting and finance.
